Saturday, Day 1:  First head to the Botero Museum. Located right in downtown Candelaria, this free museum is a great place to start. There are over 100 works by Colombian artist Fernando Botero, as well as many other interesting painting and sculptures to peruse. We loved the larger-than-life Botero paintings, and spent about 30 minutes strolling through the place. Gorgeous Guatape: The Most Colorful Town in Colombia

Having limited time in Medellin, we decided to book a full day tour to the colorful town of Guatape.  We booked the Viator tour that was $30USD each, and totally worth the money. We booked a paragliding experience through “Paragliding Medellin” and the Colombian paragliding pioneer “Ruben Fly”.  That morning we woke up and made our way to the San Javier Station.
